As much as I'm liking this book, the characters in general feel kinda flat. Like they're cool and all, but I don't really know much about them besides basic facts, like who they're related to and maybe a one-off comment about a basic personality trait. As for the romance, it's ok but being already established at the beginning, it kinda just feels...there. Like yeah, they're cute but I'm not really attached to them

like they're cute and all, but could we not have aged Aicha up a little bit so that he didnt confess his love to a teenager when he's 23yo at the time? No, 5 years is not a big age gap, but an 18 and a 23yo here? come on

I don't think "carnage" is the right word to use here, bc the author hasn't shown us anyone getting killed yet. Beaten, yes, but that's not carnage
