Okay, SO intrigued with this book. If we would scream about these statistics if they represented women and push towards better support systems, but then just tell the other side to get their act together... I don't know that we're truly arguing on our principles. He's alluded to the idea of pushing men towards what he calls the "HEAL" field, which I find a FASCINATING solution on multiple fronts.

Adding nuance to the equality scale! I think a lot of people (myself included) think of equality primarily around gender, that women have suffered more inequality than men. While true, when we add in other factors, like race and income level, the scale of equality paints a different picture, and I think that it's important to get a better picture of what is happening and what has changed in recent decades.
