Over it, dnf'ing.

30 pages later and I'm still struggling to keep going. I actually got a little hopeful at the point in the story where Tati's father sets her up on a date. Nikolai's reaction to that has been the most interesting thing to happen.
...And then the gun happened. I cannot! That was so dumb and cheap. It ruined the moment.
I can read a 'good' book this size in just a few days. It's going on 2 weeks with this.

Fighting to stay interested. The overarching plot is kind of blah. The mmc's remind me more of college age/ young adults moreso than more mature 30 somethings. It's mafia, and I'm not well versed in mafia, but i feel like the men aren't quite man enough. It's the way the converse/ the dialog. I don't know if I can get past that issue to keep going with this book, or this series. I might have to dnf.
