Being sick is the worst. I feel so lonely. Since I have something that’s contagious I’ve been staying away from my family. and now my throat is so raw it hurts to talk so I can’t call my friends. I feel so isolated and I just want to talk to someone 😔 #ihatebeingsickitstheworst

If you push on the back of your neck beside your spine, and sort of dig in and massage it, it helps make the pain go away faster. There's a video on youtube from Dr. Eric Burg who talks about it.
