ik that most people probably wouldn't read this book, but if you would, i suggest reading notebook 5 (cause the book is divided into different notebooks) chapter 3. it's a letter chapter comprising of the mc's ode to her now partnered ex-lover, truly such a great chapter that compares sexuality to cooking, and covers stuff from gender roles to comphet to much more. fantastic book might i add

this book makes me want to move to Taipei, and I don't even believe in Taiwan 😝

So far I am loving this sm, it's such a meditation on romantic relationships and lesbian and sapphic relationships. it's so crazy how beautiful this is written too. I've never liked lots of translated fiction because of the lack of connection and bland translations, however this translation really feels like im reading the truest version of the text and that i'm not losing anything from not readin the Chinese version
