I go back and forth about continuing. We are finally starting to get some answers and back story but, come on... at 65%? It's too slow

So, we are 100 pages in and still nothing major has happened... I am still going to continue because fantasy tends to be this way but I am starting to be a bit bored of them just wandering through the woods talking about things we (the reader) has no idea of lol

Im not sure how to feel about this one so far. I had to come on here and make sure this is the first book because they are writing like I should already know what's going on. Annnnd, in their typical fashion, the chapters are really long but very little has happened. But I LOVED ZA, so im hoping for it to turn around.

Hi again, Sarah! Maybe you can just skim read the rest if you're not enjoying it?? That's what I do quite a bit once I've invested a certain amount of reading time but just am not enjoying something. I want to know what ultimately happens, but not strongly enough that I want to spend so much time finding out....

And I think that is the route I am going to take at this point. And if I find it starts to get interesting then I will go from there. Great minds ;-)
Good :)! There's that expession about "suffering for your art"--but also, I say: don't suffer for someone else's art lol!I don't know if you know about this trick, but my dad taught me years ago that most written works (at least if they're not gibberish...) can be skim-read by reading the first sentence of every paragraph. I've used that trick quite a bit.
You know, I once responded to you asking how your job search was going and about your wonderful, enchanting, vintage-style profile pic, but you didn't say anything; then I thought I offended you, and I got embarassed and deleted my comment lol! But I think you might have just been absent for days.
But I'll repeat now: I think you could be a model for the book covers of the books you like--it might be something to look into at some point. Geez, if I needed a pic of a woman for a SFF cover, I'd pick you (if that's you above!).
Good reading to you--I hope your next reading experience goes faster :)!
