A gay reoccurring character, a MC who shows how effortless it is to not only accept queerness but highlights the beauty, humanity, and heart of queer people in this story, and NOW we get a drag queen!!! Tamora Pierce, how lucky am I that you were the first author I read as a youth. And what a pleasure it is to read this now. I wish this series was in my library when I was younger.
