What I am confused about is that my book is in third person. And I have never read a book like that. I like the main character, Sage is a volleyball player and is very determined. She wants to achieve goals of winning the state title when the rest of her team just wants to make it to regionals: "Sage hadn't told anyone yet, but her goal wasn't just getting to the state tournament. It was winning it" (Carpenter 13).
