Since the introduction of Anaïs and Valka the Dune love triangle parallels were clear. It seemed as though Hadrian, like Paul, would use Anaïs as a tool to gain power through an arranged marriage. Here we find out Hadrian isn’t Paul in this scenario, he’s Irulan. This is a cool way to take what’s we like about Dune and put a spin on it to create something of your own. And I imagine it’s the first of many.
