Sorry, I know he’s realistically not a nice guy at all, but Kennit is fucking hilarious at times.

Etta is going to be such a great character I can already tell. Also, it appears Kennit’s luck may have just run out.

Genuinely, this is one of the most intimate moments I’ve read. The quality and the characterisation in this moment are so profound & I can feel how small the room is and I know the warmth that Althea is talking about. It’s so well written and such a breath of fresh air from the crud that’s written in romantacy books.

Nice little call back to what Wintrow said when his finger was being cut off. “Do it carefully not quickly.” A nice little detail to remind us that those two are related!

Okay since Amber has touched Paragon I am now utterly convinced she is The Fool.

Okay…okay. I could be connecting nonexistent dots here…but is Amber actually The Fool? The wooden carvings, the gloved hands that would conveniently cover any skill magic on her fingers, the golden/wooden skin colouring, the strange way she moves, described of walking like a man & has said she has practise being a man? Tell me I’m not crazy here?? It would make sense, we don’t know where The Fool went in AQ.

Firstly, Wintrow, my man. You’re one tough kid and I love it when meditation is used as a strength in situations like these. Almost like a superpower.

Secondly, Gantry very much reminds me of the quiet authority of Burrich & his “I will have words with Torg” very much felt like Burrich looking out for Fitz. Not for favouritism, but because it is the right thing to do.
