I hate that the thing making her not enjoy this relationship is that it’s stable AND NOT THAT SHE HAS MATURED AND REALIZED THAT BEING WITH SOMEONE SO MUCH OLDER AND IN A POSITION OF POWER IS DISGUSTING.

Maybe she’s starting to realize that this relationship is actually inappropriate and he’s grooming her? One can only hope.

I cannot tell if this is romanticizing or critiquing inappropriate relationships.

“People are too precious about what it means to be human. We’re just people. We’re just gross little people who shit and fart and duck. Who eat too much dairy and search for meaning in our iPhones and carry at least one undiagnosed mental illness. People who, maybe, aren’t worth much at all. But that all feels like too much to tell her, so I just nod my head and say, “Yeah, I think I do.”
