very lovely. chapter three made me think of how interesting it is to contrast queer love and nature (and how often it is used as a storytelling device in many other books — e.m forster's maurice comes to mind). if something is considered socially unnatural, how does one find solace for their love in nature? descriptions of janusz are so charming that its hard not to love him :)
