Spoiler: Not liking chapter 1 so far. Goldman won't stop talking about himself and the starlet and the book stores and his Freudian wife. I know it is supposed to be tongue & cheek or something of a build up to the actual story, but it's annoying me. I hope this gets better. I did learn that there is only the "abridged version" & Morgenstein is apparently a fictional literary device...but I'm struggling right now.
