teared up a little at the end of the confession arc

very cool to pad out the middle of the book by rehashing all arguments from paradise lost

wish I understood this more :(

kind of incomprehensible at the start, by nature and also because I kept switching between two different versions of the book. once you hit the stride though you'll think yourself stupid for not getting it at the start, so it's a little like a poem in that sense
