Oh it switched perspective from Julie to Maddie!

I absolutely love this audiobook. It's absolutely amazingly written, makes me love the characters I'm supposed to love, makes me hate the characters I'm supposed to hate. But also shows that von linden (who used to be a headteacher!) and engel are still humans that had a life before the war.

OK so mc was Queenie and she's a descendant of Mary Queen of Scots, her descriptions of herself seem very flattering and it makes me laugh each time at how graceful she makes her past self sound. I love that each time a 'jerry' calls her English, she vehemently correct them with the word 'Scottish'.

Maddie is very amazing and the mc’s descriptions of her show her admiration and care towards Maddie.

I love the audiobook. Her voice is very soothing and the descriptions are very well done. It must’ve taken a lot of effort to research about the war and form such a compelling tale. I love it so far but at times I am finding it hard to follow along without a physical copy.
