I have completed the first short story of the book. The language in which it is written is definitely intriguing and keeps you interested.
In this short story Sherlock encounters a woman just as witty as him and it leaves him pondering. That she not only fell for his tricks but was able to turn it around and get three steps ahead.

Sherlock Holmes is extremely detail oriented and always thinking outside the box and making connections to things that may seem obvious when explained but not easy to actually investigate or interpret. So far this story is told from Watson POV. The language is very old but not difficult to follow but very descriptive and easy to imagine.
