Each chapter in this book feels and reads different from the ones before. As their are time jumps between each chapter the writing mature alongside our lead. A bold choice which is starting to pay off.

😂 This book is just digging itself into my heart.

The trend continues. The deeper it goes the more compelling it gets.

It's a slowburn type of book, taking its time telling the story of the main character (a boy who will one day be king but has a secret that could ruin it all) and setting everything up. I won't say I am blown away so far. But it keeps sucking me in deeper making me more and more invested.

'Next to him Rhys was statue still.'

😂😂 A very South African type turn of phrase, I just enjoyed seeing.
