Everly found the man that killed her best friend Maura because the guy was drunk when he killed her and since then he has been sober, but puts flowers on Maura’s grave weekly
In the end like the last page, Oliver confesses his love for Everly and he asked her not to, teach abroad in France, but to stay and she said she has loved him for a long time, but for Oliver to join her in France and he said yes!

Lilly & Priscilla & Madeline were saved taken into a home where they were healed & when she heard that Adam too survived Lily, Priscilla & Madeline hightail it out of there & kind of lived in hiding she was able to communicate with Augusta & that is how Everly was able to piece some of it together
Augusta ended up being w/ Henry & moved to New York, & that was part of the story that Everly found to connect the dots

Lily did not love her aunt, but they did have a special relationship. I listened fast because it was kind of a heavy topic and it dealt with Everly‘s trying to solve the mystery of who was found, and why it went down and who these people were and at the same time deal with the slavery and how we can’t pretend it didn’t happen, but also treat it with respect now.
