I feel like I've jumped into the middle of a story and am so confused... maybe it is just me but I feel like there is SO much information I am missing. Unless it is suppose to be this way and we will figure out things along with Klein.

Gosh. I watched the donghua feeling this way hoping the novel will clear things up when I read it lol. Guess I'm doomed haha

Big nope. I was thinking of setting this aside to watch the anime but sounds like that won’t do much good!!! 🤣
Yeah don't worry I'm a longtime fan and still get confused. It'll settle soon. Just read the story and don't worry about most things.Although I heard that the official translation sucks so that may contribute to your confusion. Also the first few episodes of tbe donghua are just as confusing...it's rough out there. You could try the mangua but it's barely through the first few chapters.
The basic gist is this: Zhou Mingrui transmigrates as Klein.
Klein was involved in what he thinks is shady stuff.
Nighthawks (group of Beyonders from the Evernight church) arrive to question him.
He gets the offer to join Nighthawks since he knows about Beyonders anyway.
He accepts and choses the Seer pathways despite the church not having the full pathway with them and starts looking for a way to go back to his old world.

(Beyonders are basically people who have magic powers (spirituality) I suppose. To become a beyonder you need to consume a sequence 9 potion of one of the pathways and slowly advance each sequence after disgesting the previous one or else you lose control. Actually everything can make you lose control). Leonard is a sequence 8 Sleepless called Midnight Poet, Dunn Smith belongs to the same pathway at sequence 7 yada yada.
(Nighthawks are a group of Beyonders that work under the Evernight Goddess, and the security company Klein joined is their Tingen branch. Tingen and Backlund are cities in the Loen Kingdom).
Thanks Dreamcatcher! I’m going to stick with it and what you paraphrased is basically what I got so far too. So that’s good news.
