Is this good? I have Louise Penny's "Still Life" and it was OK. It's the first Inspector Gamache book.

So far, so good. I’m watching Three Pines on Amazon. I thought I had outgrown police books (with me being an ex-cop and all) but I love the lush, character-led Quebec setting. You can take a girl out of the precinct but you can’t take the precinct out of the girl. Plus Alfred Molina is one of my old celebrity crushes and I think of him when I read Armand Gamache’s lines.
