Lord Eland Venture and Vins romantic connection continues to spark, very intrigued on how this will carry out towards the heist. She almost slipped up with who she really is, said to much about her “past” with the skaa. Eland being apart of a small rebellious group is also something I kind of expected but not completely, I have a feeling that will be important later on.

The fall of the rebellion army was quite emotional for me, I did not expect nearly the whole army to fall so soon, the executions were just the cherry on top. Gold is interesting.

The character development is surreal and tense. I love the simple magic system, this is my first fantasy read and I’m finally getting the swing of how things work. Though along with the crew and some of the Skaa, I’m beginning to question Kelseirs authority. What is this “prophecy” what are all his reasons for this heist?
