I’m loving this so far! It’s got a great pace and the theming runs really naturally throughout. We’ve just met Mally and I love him as a character, but I feel darkness in him. Also any scene where Lorry is in makes me sooo uncomfortable because of the shit he’s had to go through, he’s just a baby!!!

I read a short review about the book that likened it to The Wasp Factory, which makes SO much sense. I think this is why I’m loving the book so much, for a debut novel this read is insane and the writing is just perfect. The unnerving nature is subtle throughout but really build up as the book goes. I’m interested to see where it’s leading to now.
