"I used to keep my eyes fixed on Hampstead all day. Then there was a good hope of seeing her again -Now!- O that I could be buried bearing where she lives!"
"It surprised me that the human heart is capable of containing and bearing so much misery. Was I born for this end?"

"He had a face in which energy and sensibility were remarkably mixed up, an eager power checked and made patient by ill health. Every feature was at once strongly cut, and delicately alive. The eyes mellow and glowing; large, dark and sensitive. At the recital of a noble action or a beautiful thought, they would suffuse with tears and his mouth trembled."

"You tell me never to despair. I wish it was as easy for me to observe the saying - truth is I have a horrible Morbidity of Temperament"
His brothers knew his resolve to emulate Chatterton and 'die a half-blown flower'. Only half in love with death.

"Hitherto Keats had used punches to make his presence felt. Now language offered a fresh field of action — as if bouts of rhyming and a physically vigorous 'Mr. Keats' mutually manifested each other. Keats loomed physically larger as he recited poetry."
