I'll Prey For You is the debut novella by Indie Author Sierra Waff, The vigilate vendetta tale has a novel approach, the unusual element of a hired assistant, and from what I gleaned is about true life trauma and stress syndrome. This is a Group Read Selection on Splatterpunk Horror Book Club. I have just started the narrative thus cannot speak about the elements of the book. Like the plotline.

The plotline is straight forward but with unforseen complications. The story reads like journal entries with time stamps, specific places, and pertinent facts or information. The goal is understood but the narrative is coming across as somewhat clinical and spartan. I am hungry for more clarification about the past and the prisoners. There is time for this and the plot is original with dreams and symbolism prominent.

I am past the first quarter and the metamorphosis of the protagonist from victim to vigilante is accomplished with some flair. Several men are strategicaly kidnapped and transported to an exotic yet decrepit location.
