Switching this one to my TBR pile and may actually DNR it bc I can’t get over the cringe. I’ll read the other books in this series but this one is making me hate reading and I can’t jive with that.

This maybe a DNF but I’m going to keep pushing though. Why is the whole team obsessed with this woman. I hate when this she’s so different so all of the guys love her like one of the guy tropes. It’s so strange.

Why does the FMC talk about her ex so much?! I mean I almost wish there was a novella about Alex bc he’s mentioned so much that he’s the third main character. Idk the feel like this trope is just frustrating.

It’s also very gross how the FMC and the MMC talk about anyone with money as just being vapid and shallow. While yes some ppl can be like that generalization is not great. It’s also very cringy when the FMC talks about how expensive this thing is. Idk but I was always told it’s impolite to talk about money. Also ppl around me don’t talk about money like that either…it’s gross.

Also eww how do all ppl in this book just objectify the MMCs body…really all of her coworkers check him out. Also how are they adults and in such a teenage mindset. The FMC literally says idk how to great him in front of others. Like how old are we. Also why do all of his friends want to be around her. This female trope is really starting to feel like the new pick me girl trope.

Also the MMC is so down bad bc she’s pretty and a teacher like seriously. This author makes it seem like being a teacher is the only selfless profession. Ppl can be good and selfless even if they are a doctor, lawyer etc. in fact the most selfless ppl I know are lawyers who are public defenders. Seriously this trope I’m starting to learn isn’t for me.

These books were the FMC is a downtrodden normal girl that can do no wrong and all of the MMCs friends love her bc she is not like the others are really starting to make me 🤢. In real life everyone has flaws. I like this authors style of writing but I wish she would make the FMC so ‘perfect’. The worst she has done with the FMC is given her depression which anyone would have after a long term breakup.
