literally almost every important moment / lore drop in this book is conveyed thru dialogue btw. also moments that r supposed to be emotional just... happen 😭 like yiran is having the worst day of his life and I don't even feel a thing

y'all don't read something if you didn't enjoy the first book enough to remember anything that happened.... dawg I didn't even remember the premise of the first book but i sure don't like it enough to reread it so we're going in blind! thank god tan had the foresight to drop recaps here and there 🙏
