Nvm. Once again we’ve ground down to a halt. Had it been closer to the start of the book, maybe it would be more manageable, but even more political tension once he has ‘won’ the political game like twice this book, and with smaller fish than ever, it’s just too slow. This side plot’s premise is good but not here with less than half the book to go. I want to see how he runs ‘cause pacing isn’t his thing

Hadrian is so stubborn. I can’t quite understand but I guess it’s kinda a “no gods before me” parallel thé authors given Hadrian? Idk
Also, finally we got something of a finish line and a start to the race we’ve been waiting all book for !

This book draaags out the final confronation. I feel like it should have been a victory lap to the end, but so far it hasn’t been that at all. I think it’s finally switching but we’ll see.
