What I want to know (and the book doesn't seem to be interested in) is what the money flow is this. This seems to be an expensive program and it wouldn't be done if the profits were much bigger. If it doesn't make money, it would not be implemented at all.

I see what the book is going for, but it's depressing to see women bully each other for being shitty mothers for so long. And I don't buy the systemic elements of this, unless there's some other dystopian elements (none, so far) relating to sexism / authoritarianism. So not working very well for me.
