The way Kafka has described Milena’s past self to her current is not only mesmerising, but profoundly artistic. He says, she’s as strong as the sea but by some mistake, she follows the whim of the dead and above all, the distant moon. This is everything and nothing all at once. The beauty in which he talks all about her has become my point of study. I’m just sitting on the couch, reading these lines over.
