WHAT IS THIS:

The wording and old English is really messing me up.

"It is a sign that Solomon once set on a time to betoken Troth, as it is entitled to do; for it is a figure that in it five points holdeth and each line overlaps and is linked with another---"

There's even worse (that's only the beginning)

Please tell me I'm not the only one who doesn't understand this 😰🥴😭

I am not enjoying this :( I don't understand anything that's going on because of the wording and the old English 😭😭😭

love that we're reading J.R.R Tolkien but just one thing... why is it so hard to read? Like I can barely get a sentence without being confused. :(
