This book is kind of genius. I imagine the author sort of humbly going, “Oh, man, I don’t want to write a book all about myself,” so she writes a memoir all about significant relationships with men throughout her life. It doesn’t hurt that M.L. Parker appears to be a naturally gifted writer, but there’s something unsettling about the entire focus of the book being on male relationships.
