I have not figured out the meaning or reasoning behind the quotes at the beginning of each chapter, hopefully they do have one. Morally grey main character which isn't new to me, but I'm interested to learn if this is a change of heart or a doomed fate sort of tale.

P.s. the quotes do appear to have a meaning they seem to be a diary written be someone else in the past. Unclear as to their correlation to the current plot (which is intentional I'm sure), but as a reader you get enough to try to piece things together, even though it feels like i am looking at a completed physics equation. All the pieces are there, the answer is right in front of me. But I don't have the tools to understand it just yet. I am very interested to unravel the story behind them.
