“As a … you will always be lonely. And you will learn to bear it” oh ok now I’m sobbing

It is hauntingly, tender and so beautifully written. I love literature written as letters. I wouldn’t be able to read it constantly cause I would get sick of it, but it works so well for this novel. Knowing that there isn’t a happy ending leaves a sense of dread and I am so here for it. I also love the historical aspect, learning about Poland after World War II

I will say out of all the novellas I’m most excited for this one cause I think this is the one I will like the most
