I so want Kennit to have a redemption arc in which he becomes the father figure that Wintrow has been so devoid of. I hope it’s a difficult and complex path, but by the end they have a bond unbreakable - truly I do.

Loving the description of using leeches in a way that genuinely seems correct. When we hear about old medieval healing methods, they’re always parroted to seem mad and harmful. But Hobb spends a good time showing the thought behind these methods. We use leeches to suck out poison from the blood? Very cool.
