I’m going to finish this because I started it, but the subject matter is not my thing. Turns out I don’t like contemporary fiction with addictive substances and I guess I feel the same way about fantastical addictive substances. Yes, it’s unrealistic to have an urban fantasy crime novel with no drugs, but I really wish this had picked a different topic.

I’m interested to see where this goes, but so far it’s been pretty predictable. I also don’t know that I’m enjoying the story. Idk. There are elements I definitely do not care for.
