What's most striking about these AI companies is how nakedly anti-human and for-profit above all else they are, and always have been. While they've hidden this truth for a while behind utopian promises of finding cures to diseases and solving wars, their actions have always gone directly against these promises. While they've only recently begun openly admitting as much, their actions always spoke louder.
