I think I just reached one of those supposed climax moments in a book and my reaction and the main characters reaction were so vastly different I had to look up the history of gay rights in another country and the publication date for the book. Like I honestly don’t think this reveal changes much except maybe Mia can accept herself a little easier.

I’m going to be completely honest, there’s so many times I had to stop this book because it is absolutely ridiculous. Am I going to finish it? Yes, but that wasn’t really in question.
I skipped chapters 19 and chapters 20 almost in their entirety. I don’t think chapter 26, those character deaths were necessary but who am I? I didn’t think a book could get more absurd but I am proven wrong time again.
