So far it's a pretty wild ride, but I am enjoying it. Despite the underlying sense of what I can only describe as "fantastical eeriness", Wililams' writing is spellbinding. At parts, the writing style has reminded me of C.S. Lewis's Space Trilogy, particularly That Hideous Strength, as well as The Crooked Hinge by John Dickson Carr.
