This is the most twisted book I’ve read and also my first Mishima novel. I don’t know if there are characters this sick and helpless in real life or if it’s just dramatized for the sake of this novel and his other work. Some of it read like a farce but I appreciate the humour because there is a lot of darkness here. I hated Yuichi by the end. It was an arduous read but worth seeing into this obsessive mind.
