I nearly DNF’d this last night because the author was very obviously trying to check as many feminism boxes as possible. It felt performative & overbearing, & I was ready to throw in the towel. However, I decided to give it one more chance & picked it back up today, & it finally feels like a pleasant story is coming together.

I swear though, if I have to hear about “men bad, women good” one more time 🙄
