Interesting so far. Lots of concepts that are straight out of Dune haha but it’s hard to escape its influence in any science fiction it seems. I’m really licking the feel of the world so far. Intrigued to see where this goes.

The writing in this is amazing. « Sift the sands of every world and you will find not one atom of fear, nor gram of love, nor dram of hatred. Yet they are there, unseen and uncertain as the smallest quanta and just as real. » Beautiful. Also we’re starting to understand Haidrian a bit more. How he feels so alien within his own people. Also he just got absolutely cooked by some thugs. I feel bad for him.

The descriptions of the world are hard to grasp due to the scale of everything, but are nonetheless amazing. I’m loving the vibe of everything, it’s like a futuristic gothic dark and cold place. Very interesting.
