The kids are so mad at me for stopping the book at this point! We are reaching the climax and each chapter keeps ending in a cliffhanger. We keep having conversations about inferences, theme, and context surrounding the story and the kids are loving the story.

The kids are loving the book so far! We are only reading a chapter a day but they wanted to read more whenever we finish.

I am currently reading this book with my 5th grade classes. We are looking at the historical context of the book while we read.
