These are the very Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life.’ (John 5:39-40).”

“Deep grounding in the word must become the good thing we can’t live without.”

“As we grasp this bigger picture of God’s growing family, our chafing at God’s order is gradually replaced with a sense of privilege—and joy—at being a part of it. This is a beautiful truth: we get to live and serve in God’s family, forever.”

This quote is profound to me primarily because it reminds me that the more I love God and His word and church, the less I chafe at His truth but rather love it.

“When Jesus was born, he didn’t become God’s Son; rather, God’s Son became a man. God didn’t change himself to accommodate us; rather, he made us human beings to reflect him.”

It’s just a really great read.

The curses directly relate to their ability to fulfill God’s command to multiply people and to cultivate the ground. Huh.

OPE.

First of all, come on church fathers! Sheesh! We certainly are vulnerable to fall for the schemes of the culture in which we live.

Secondly, two great quotes:
