A) When the first sentence of the book references Huey Lewis & The News, and later, ends the chapter named dropping him as they quote "Hip to Be Square" - well, this is definitely a book for me.
B ) Then having the 1st chapter be an outline of my geek life from elementary thru HS - yeah, give me more.
C) Ch 2 - Shogun Warriors & fear of losing Mom in a department store. Been there.

The 80s kids Saturday Morning Dilemma- which cartoons made The Cut, and which ones were "never to be watched"
(IMHO, the choices weren't as good they could have been. But I agree about the One and Done Season of Thundarr the Barbarian. And to choose NOT to watch Mighty Orbots - for shame...)

Also - talking about bringing a beloved comic book to a con, that is NOT the best known / popular ones, to get it signed by the creator - only to have the creator spend some time talking about it - 👨🍳💋
(I've done this MANY time - In a sea of Batmans, I had Doc Savage. And got to talk with the artist for 10 minutes as he thumbed thru the issues, reliving memories of how it was his "1st work"
