Why do I have this feeling in my gut that stuffs about to get real and I’m about to be destroyed??

I am reserving final judgement for the final quarter where in high fantasy usually give a twist and make or break complicated, high fantasy writing like this, but as it stands, content/plot/characters/storylines are a clear 5 star, but the flow, technical ability to follow these alternate states/memories/timelines + a lack of Zevander & Maevyth storyline/plot is leaning more towards a 4

So… I’m really enjoying the story, characters, plot. But I also am having difficulty tracking because of how abruptly we are in this metaphysical alternate place/time with Zevander. It’s sort of lessening the enjoyability of all of the parts I love about the first book and this book. I also feel, while I am sure it’s intentional, we are spending so much more time there than with Maevyth!

Ughhh that village people were so annoyingly mean and awful!!!!! How does he not realize who that is lol! You got this Zavander!
