Blessed are the merciful!!! needed this!
Being merciful is not a personality trait, it’s a gospel product.
Mercy begins with not just seeing the wrongs done but the image of God in the one who wronged you. We give mercy not because someone deserves it but because we’ve been shaped by a mercy we could never deserve ourselves.
Mercy doesn’t ignore the offense, it acknowledges it and still chooses to bless.

Loving this book! Rereading some pages I read this summer
