Honestly after that abrupt and honestly confusing ending, I’m not sure where I stand. Even with the issues in pacing and the aforementioned ending, I enjoyed it. Was it particularly original? Not really. But I enjoyed the hints of worldbuilding that we got, there’s definitely potential. And Astraea and Nyte, I do love their dynamic and chemistry. I’m hoping book 2 doesn’t flounder.

How the fuck did the King get the key? Christ

Idk why Astraea’s mad. The lying is justified because from everything we’ve seen, she damn well would’ve spun out and that wouldn’t have helped anything. As for killing people who hurt her, shit, I need me a man like that UwU

Oh my god the tea is mounting. I live. This book has some issues but I dont care LMAO the setting is unique, the yearning is exquisite, and the characters are *chefs kiss* I wonder how the hell it’s going to end? SPOILERS



Also Nightsdeath is Nyte and he’s the King’s son. That last point I wasn’t expecting.

Drystan being a villain wasnt on my bingo card. But I’ll take it, he’s a more interesting character than the King without a name

The pacing is an issue. Even still, I’m enjoying it. Nyte and Astraea… Ugh the yearning. I want to know what Nyte is, goddammit.

I think the king knows who Astraea is. He’s using her to get this sixth key that’s never been found. Must be.

So who is Nyte? Obviously he’s tied to the star-maiden. Somehow. So many questions UGHHHH

I do so love the yearning. It’s obvious Astraea and Nyte have some sort of history, though to what extent, who knows. Nonetheless, he is protective. Shame he didn’t come earlier and save Cassia. Sighhhh
