This is interesting. Schools and parents are setting aside play and downtime to drill academics and extracurricular activities post-pandemic, and yet… We’re in a literacy crisis. Teenagers cannot use basic grammar or spell. Grown adults need ChatGPT to do research or write an email. Clearly the “academic focus” isn’t working. Maybe we should be trying literally anything else.
