Winkler's premonitions are weighing on him very heavily. I wonder if what his mother said is important; perhaps Winkler will try to change Sandy's mind and take Grace somewhere. I honestly hope he succeeds and can protect her, but it will probably be one of those situations where the main character trying to avoid something leads to that very thing happening.
