it’s strange because this book feels both deeply political and deeply intimate at the same time. i keep stopping every few pages because a sentence reminds me of my country, my xp of adapting to different cultures, of multilingualism, of feeling between several worlds at once.

this genuinely feels less like reading an essay and more like having someone articulate feelings i didn’t fully know how to name.
